Menstrual Hygiene Management
Menstrual hygiene management is an integral aspect of hygiene for women and adolescent girls. Promoting MHM is highly important, the silence around menstruation and the limited access to information about menstruation results to millions of women and girls having very little knowledge about safe menstrual health practices.
As an organization committed to promoting sanitation and hygiene activities in women, men, boys and girls, through community organization, capacity building, technical services and advocacy, on the 24th of May, IDEE had an educative session on menstruation and menstrual hygiene at Wisdom International School of Excellence, Tudunwada, Lugbe. Another session was held on Thursday 30th of May at Bright-Eyed Child Academy, Tudunwada, Lugbe.
The students learnt about menstruation, menstrual hygiene management, and how to calculate their menstrual cycle. A total of 68 students were reached - 45 females and 23 males.
